The Farmer’s Wife: Handle with Care! Part 1: Angel Adventmidterm elections have outdone themselves in terms of absurdity thanks to Garfield, the cartoon cat whose comic strip hasn't been funny since President Ronald Reagan left the White House.
Yes, Garfield, the cat who loves lasagna and hates Mondays, is apparently apathetic about whether or not you vote, according to a post on the comic strip character's Instagram account. Now people are arguing that Garfield's gone full Melania online.

Garfield's take is as lazy as the cat himself. It's like the cat's September 11 tribute: There's no reason for it to exist and we're all just a little dumber for it entering the world.
Look, this is all absurd but voting is important. Elections are important. Treating them as if they aren't, even behind the facade of a fictional cat, is stupid. There are very real issues at stake in this election, from voter suppression to the racist demagoguery coming out of the White House.
So, no matter what a dumb orange cartoon cat says, you really should vote, okay?
