For those of us who don't fancy wandering the streets in search of a little yellow bot, Spectacles are also now available for the very first timeto all Europeans online at Spectacles.com. Spectacles launched in the U.S. in late 2016, but this is the very first time they've been made officially available in Europe. From 2 June, Spectacles are available to Snapchatters Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. But they don't come cheap. You'll have to cough up £129.99 (€149.99) for a pair.
For those not entirely familiar with the concept of a Snapbot, it's basically a bright yellow vending machine that lands in random spots in cities. They are typically only present in each location for about one day at a time. A Spectacles-related geofilter will also be available on Snapchat when a Snapbot is nearby.More Snapbots will be appearing in other European cities this summer.
