Lysette, who is transgender, "laughed it off" at the time because she had a scene to finish. She pushed it to the recesses of her mind because, she wrote, "compartmentalizing has always been part of my survival tool kit."
Tambor said he is "deeply sorry if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being sexually aggressive or if I ever offended or hurt anyone," but added, "I am not a predator and the idea that someone might see me in that way is more distressing than I can express."
Amazon is already investigating claims of sexual harassment against Tambor alleged a former assistant of his, Van Barnes. Barnes, who is transgender, wrote her allegations on her private Facebook account. Though she didn't mention Tambor by name, she wrote about how her boss on the show had grabbed her and made other advances toward her.
Tambor "adamantly and vehemently" denied Barnes's allegations.
Lysette hopes Amazon doesn't cancel the show, thereby letting "the trans community suffer for the actions of one cis male actor." She does, however, hope they "remove the problem."
