Clearly there's quite a lot of history here, including the fact that the father of the family seems to have told everyone that he has an allergy to birds. What kind of person would lie about having a bird allergy? The kind that really doesn't want to live with a bird, despite his wife's extreme desire to have a bird. Or birds.

Well, it turns out the family couldn't say no in the end. The mother and Noor managed to get the rest of the kids on board, but they still had to convince Mr. Fake Bird Allergy.

The lesson here is a good one: Sometimes when you want to get something and nobody else wants you to get, just get it anyway and let them deal with it.
