NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden made history when he exposed government surveillance programs. Now,Sadistic Eroticism (2012) he has shed light on another need: Twitter product changes.
On Twitter’s live streaming app Periscope Tuesday, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey asked Snowden, “What would you like to see us do? What would you like to see us improve?”

While Twitter is known for limiting messages to 140 characters, Snowden said he appreciated the work that the service has done to expand beyond that limit. For example, he found it frustrating that previously when Twitter users added a picture to a tweet, they lost 22 characters.
Snowden also suggested that Twitter could make the product more seamless by bringing more parts of Twitter inside of the main app. For instance, Twitter users are currently directed to third-party webpages when they click on an article. Twitter could introduce a service like Facebook Instant Articles, where text is uploaded directly to the network.
"People don't like seeing the window change," Snowden said.
Lastly, Snowden pointed to one of the most requested features of Twitter. Indeed, Kim Kardashian made the same request back in 2015.
"There’s a lot of controversy about editing tweets. The risks I do understand," Snowden said and shared an example that if a tweet is heavily shared and added to people's timelines and then edited it would "upset a lot of people."
"But surely there are ways around this," Snowden said. "Oh, I made a typo. Oh, that wasn’t exactly what I wanted to say. Wanting to be a little more careful, or clear, I think those are all things that would provide a lot of value."
Still, Snowden bowed to Dorsey, a cofounder and visionary behind the service, that he probably knows what's best.
"Oh, thanks," Dorsey said with a smile.
