Beats has unveiled its latest pair of true wireless earbuds and Watch Dark Fantasies (2010)it comes in the form of the Beats Studio Buds. In addition to two different listening modes and long battery life, the $149.99 earbuds also play a bit nicer with Android devices.
In terms of design, the Studio Buds represent the company's "tiniest, most subtle form factor to date," weighing in at just 5.1 grams per earbud. They also come in three different colors: black, red, and white.
To minimize pressure on the eardrum, there's a micro-vent on the nozzle of both earbuds, which should make them more comfortable to wear all day. And to ensure the right fit, you'll also get three different soft silicone eartips in the box.
With an IPX4 rating, they're also sweat- and water-resistant. So, you're safe to use the earbuds as your go-to pair for the gym.
Inside, the Studio Buds pack their own 8.2mm, dual-element diaphragm driver and a two-chamber acoustic design. According to the company, the earbuds execute "outstanding stereo separation and low harmonic distortion across the frequency curve so you hear every note."
The earbuds include support for Spatial Audio, too. It'll automatically kick in whenever you're listening to tracks mixed in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music.
Beats' Studio Buds are compatible with both iOS andAndroid. The earbuds are the first of its kind to have one-touch pairing for both devices (you can automatically connect them by holding down the button on the case) as well assupport for both Find My in iOS and Find My Device on Android in case you lose them.
In addition to using your phone to control the earbuds, you can also use the "b" button on the side of each earbud. You'll be able to switch between Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and transparency modes, play, pause, or skip songs, and answer/decline phone calls.
With all these features thrown in, Beats promises up to 24 hours of battery life. The earbuds themselves offer up to 8 hours of listening time, while the case packs two full charges at a time. Using ANC or Transparency mode, you'll get up to five hours of listening time and up to 15 hours with the case.
The Studio Buds have support for fast charging as well. With a five-minute charge, you'll get up to one hour of playback.
The Studio Beats are currently on pre-order (in the U.S. and Canada) via Apple's site and will start shipping June 24.
