Starting Tuesday,Double Cross (1996) Google will begin rolling out a dark mode setting for its mobile search app on Android and iOS.
Once that update is live, the app should default to dark mode if you have it enabled on a system-wide level. If not, you'll find the option in the settings menu, though you'll need to be running Android 10 or iOS 12 and up to benefit.
Now, you're probably wondering what it looks like. Well, wonder no more:
It may not be revolutionary, but hey, don't fix what isn't broken, right? It looks exactly the same as Chrome or Gmail does in dark mode and that's fine.
As long as we have the option of turning it on and avoiding the eye strain that light mode causes, then consider us dark mode advocates happy.
