Jurgen Klinsmann, sex and eroticism in mesopotamian literature overview the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) head coach since 2011, was fired on Monday by U.S. Soccer.
The move comes a few weeks after Klinsmann's squad dropped its first two 2018 World Cup qualifying matches, including a loss to Mexico (its first loss in a home World Cup qualifier in 15 years) and a brutal 4-0 defeat against Costa Rica.
Klinsmann compiled a 55-27-16 record as head coach including 16 victories in 2013, an all-time high for a USMNT calendar year.
"We want to thank Jurgen for his hard work and commitment during these last five years," U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati said in a statement. "He took pride in having the responsibility of steering the program, and there were considerable achievements along the way."
In the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Klinsmann led the USMNT out of the "Group of Death," a term coined for uber-competitive tournament groups. In the United States' case, that included Germany, Ghana and Portugal.
Gulati didn't reveal a replacement for Klinsmann, but will hold a press conference on Tuesday to discuss the move in detail.
