The Google Doodle was made by British artist Ben Giles, who channeled Jekyll's penchant for "hot and cool colours" in order to craft a "lush and brilliant garden collage."
"A woman of innumerable talents, Jekyll was also an accomplished musician, composer, woodworker, metalworker, and botanist," the blog continues.
Google showed the artistic process which went into building the collage in a series of images.
Here are some shots of the colourful collage being put together by the artist.
There's even a miniature cut-out of Jekyll herself.
Simply stunning!
