The autumn seasoning has been put in just about everything, but let's be real -- the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) from Starbucks started this whole thing, and remains the king of fall.
The PSL is usually released sometime in early to mid September, and the official release date from the coffee giant is still a big secret. However, the company did announce in a press release on Thursday some exciting new PSL news.
Starbucks is rolling out a Pumpkin Spice Latte in a ready-to-drink container, which means you don't have to wait a few moments for your barista to whip up your drink. The drink will be available in grocery stores later this month.
According to the release, the beverage consists of "high-quality arabica coffee with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spices, and creamy milk."
The drink will be iced, and comes in a 14-fluid-ounce bottle for $2.79.
Additionally, Starbucks is releasing Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee, so you can brew your own at home. The light roast coffee features notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Starbucks suggests adding a splash of cream and sugar in order to get a similar taste of the PSL. An 11-ounce bag will run you $9.99.
The PSL was launched in 2003, and the world has never been the same.
