While plenty of online jokes came from the meeting and photographs with a stone-faced pope, it sounds like the pope and first lady were in on the laughs.

The initial report quoted the pope asking if she fed POTUS pizza (when in Rome...or at least nearby), but it was later amended. He'd asked about potizza, a Slovenian pastry from Melania's home country.
This exchange piles on to Melania's hand-swatting and refusal to hold Trump's hand during their trip. She is on a tear, shutting down Trump everywhere the pair goes.
