Wow. If you expected The Sarah Shevon ArchivesMist, the Stephen King novella-based TV show which hits Spike on June 22, to be tamer then the 2007 movie of the same name, think again.
The new trailer for the show is an absolute gorefest, with enough violence to put Doomto shame and enough missing eyeballs to scare away...well, anyone who doesn't like missing eyeballs.
SEE ALSO: A terrifying 'It' trailer will give you nightmaresThe premise is the same as in King's novella (and the movie, which is unrelated to the TV show) -- a weird mist containing monsters from a nether world comes out of nowhere and engulfs a small town.
But in the show, the consequences appear to be a bit more dire (yes, worse than death) for the town's inhabitants, and the story will stretch into several storylines that don't exist in the book, which mostly revolves around a group of people trapped in a supermarket.
In any case, the new trailer (see the first one here) is NSFW, and possibly NSFL (as in, not safe for life either) -- do not watch around kids or if you're scared of scary things.
This year is poised to be a good one for King fans. Besides Mist, a new adaptation of Itis hitting the big screen in September (see trailer here), and the first adaptation of King's The Dark Toweris coming in August.
