Alex Trebek might not ever drop a mixtape in this lifetime,Kelly the Coed 1 (1999) but thankfully we don't have to to wait for that miracle to hear him drop bars.
The Jeopardy!host revealed a "Let's Rap, Kids!" category on Sunday night's show, and to the delight of contestants and Twitter alike, Trebek read lyrics with the level of enthusiasm that only he can bring.

In his incredibly regal voice, Trebek was forced to recite lines from Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and more during the show.
"I was just getting into this rap thing! I"m not too good at it, but I was getting into it," he exclaimed as the category ended.

This isn't the first time Trebek has showed his skill on air. In October last year, Drake's lyrics for "Jumpman" were featured on the show.
Because the internet is a beautiful place sometimes, it was only a matter of time before someone put all of Trebek's lines to the music he was reciting.

Seriously—a Trebek mixtape might be necessary this year. 🔥
