The This Ain't Cops XXX (2010)makers of Ambien aren't having any of Roseanne Barr's sh*t.
The disgraced comedian attempted to blame her racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former aide to President Barack Obama, on Ambien. But Sanofi U.S., the company the manufactures the drug, came to their own defense.

"People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world. While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

Barr's Ambien defense came hours after ABC made the decision to cancel her show in the wake of backlash to the initial tweet. Though Barr left Twitter Tuesday morning, she returned that same night to half-apologize and to defend herself.
Sorry, Roseanne. Ambien makes people do a lot of wild things, but tweeting racist jokes about former White House staffers isn't one of them.
